About the Course
HLTSS00065 Infection Control Skill Set (Retail) reflects the role of workers in the community and/or residential setting who follow an individualised plan to provide person-centered support to people who may require support due to ageing, disability or some other reason. Work involves using discretion and judgement in relation to individual support as well as taking responsibility for own outputs. Workers have a range of factual, technical and procedural knowledge, as well as some theoretical knowledge of the concepts and practices required to provide person-centered support.

There are no academic requirements or pre-requisites for this qualification, however, the student must:- Be 15 years of age
- Have sound communication skills
- Undertake and complete a Language, Literacy and Numeracy Assessment
- Must have a valid Unique Student Identifier (USI) and Police check.
- Influenza vaccination before they attend work placement
- Mandatory COVID-19 vaccination certificate required (Unless medical exemption is provided )
